Blood Sports was the seventh audio in Season 2 of BBV Productions' Audio Adventures in Time & Space anthology series and the ninth episode of the subseries The Time Travellers. It continued to star Sylvester McCoy and Sophie Aldred as the Dominie and Alice, close analogues of their BBC characters the Seventh Doctor and Ace, and Jackie Skarvellis reprised her role as Betty Durham, who previously appeared in Ghosts.
As with Guests for the Night, this was an adaptation of the story of the same name from the writer Nigel Fairs' Pisces series.

- This story was the final one to use the Time Travellers branding; the tenth and final episode of the series, Punchline, was branded with simply The Dominie, as it did not feature Sophie Aldred's character and there was thus only one Time Traveller.
