Arriurra was a male Wookiee who fought for the Galactic Republic during Clone Wars. After the rise of the Galactic Empire, Arriurra led a planet wide uprising which ultimately failed. However, he escaped and later joined the Alliance to Restore the Republic, serving as a Major in the Rebel Army. After the New Republic was formed, Arriurra aided Chewbacca and Han Solo in the Liberation of Kashyyyk.

Early life[]
Birth[]
Arriurra was born 180 BBY in the city of Kashirho on Kashyyyk.Three weeks later his parents were killed by members of Doshian Empire. Shortly before the Trandoshans could kill the newborn Wookiee, a Zabrak named Kentro killed the Trandoshans and took the pup to the village chieftain. Until a new guardian was decided on by the elders, Kentro volunteered to care for Arriurra. In that time, Kentro grew attached to the Wookiee pup. He requested to raise Arriurra. After much talk, the Wookiees agreed as they trusted Kentro, due to his ties with the Wookiee Trade Guild. Soon after Kentro bought home in the village and continued to care for him.[1]
Childhood Adventures[]
At a young age, Kentro taught Arriurra about business and trade, often bringing the Wookiee along on trade deals on behalf of the guild. When away from Kashyyyk the pair lived aboard a XS stock light freighter known as the Bronzium Convor. One day aboard the ship, Kentro make a deal with two Rodian traders. However, the two tried to kidnap the Wookiee to enslave him. Kentro blasted one with his pistol. Meanwhile, the other Rodian used the Wookiee as a shield to avoid being shot. But Kentro charged the Rodian, seeing this, Arriurra raised his legs. Kentro impaled the Rodian with his horns and caught the Wookiee before he fell.

When Arriurra was of the right age, he joined the Wookiee Army. During his service, he was assigned to the Kachirho Wookiee Militia to keep the peace in the village.[1]
A Wookiee in a Clone Army[]
Enlistment[]
With the outbreak of the Clone Wars in 22 BBY, Arriurra enlisted in the Galactic Republic Volunteer Corps as part of the Grand Army of Republic. As one of the first members, the Wookiee held the rank of sergeant.[1]
Supply Mission to Hypori[]
Sometime afterwards, Arriurra and a team of clone troopers were sent to Hypori to resupply Republic troops on the planet's surface. When the team's ship exited hyperspace, Arriurra and his men were captured by Admiral Sillin Vako. However, the sergeant was able to warn their allies before being taken to the planet surface. Soon the Republic sent captain Jack Tresherslider as an undercover prison transfer, he and was able to liberate the Wookiee and recover his katana. With his primary objective complete, Tresherslider and Arriurra freed the other prisoners. The group went to the landing pads to find a ship to escape in. But a battle broke out which resulted in Jack identifying himself as a Jedi to the opposing forces. By that time, the Republic fleet was already attempting to break the blockade. While Arriurra dealt with the droids, Tresherslider destroyed with the anti-ship turrets and found a Kom'rk-class fighter. As the battle reached its climax, The warden sent out his agent. In order time, Tresherslider dueled the agent in lightsaber combat while everyone boarded the ship.
When he was inside the ship's cockpit, Arriurra took control of the cannons and blasted the agent. Despite this, Angar evaded the attacks. Meanwhile, Tresherslider was to climb aboard. He then piloted the ship through the blockade, while Arriurra was still manning the ship's guns. The sergeant shot down an enemy fighter, causing it to crash into Vako's command ship, killing him. However, the ship was still being pursued by Angar. Until the Barsen'thor, piloted by Lieutenant Maxson, had caught up to Angar's ship and fired on it. This caused Angar to break off his attack, allowing for the fighter to dock on the Comet. When all forces arrived back to the base, it was announced that Arriurra would be reassigned to Havoc Squad.[2]
Fall of the Republic[]
Kashyyyk's Last Stand[]
Arriving to Kashyyyk on in a Z-95 Headhunter, Arriurra was injured from an earlier battle and was rushed by Tarfful to a medical hut. He was later visited by Senator Yarua, who told him about the events that transpired during the Battle of Kashyyyk. However, they were interrupted when the senator received a message from Mas Amedda, inviting him to a special session of senate. Wanting to know the truth, Senator Yarua accepted the invitation and Arriurra accompanied the senator to Coruscant. It was there they met with Bail Organa and Padmé Amidala. In the senate, Palpatine announced the Clone Wars were over and transformed the Republic into the Galactic Empire.[3]
A few days later a group of Jedi survivors arrived, seeking safe harbor from the Empire and the Wookiees agreed. However, the emperor sensed the Wookiees' trechary and dispatched an Inquisitor as well as the bounty hunter Bossk to personally deal with them. The Jedi were able to sense the incoming attack and helped the Wookiees prepare. With the group using leftover resources previously used by the Confederacy of Independent Systems to stand against their invaders. During the battle, Arriurra confronted Bossk. But was surrounded by Imperial troopers. Just as the troops prepared to execute him, he was saved by the Jedi padawans. However, Bossk took advantage of this to kill them. [3]
Following this, Arriurra retreated into the jungle and regrouped with Jedi Master Roan Shryne, who told the Wookiee that the planet was lost. But before they could continue talking, the Twentieth Brother attacked them. Shryne dueled the Inquisitor which gave Arriurra the opportunity to run towards an Auzituck anti-slaver gunship. However, he was once again attacked by Bossk. Just when everything seemed lost, Tarfful and the other Wookiees caught Bossk. However, Imperial reinforcements arrived, and another battle began. Arriurra continued to fight Bossk for a short time, when Master Shryne came running out of the jungle and force pushed Bossk, which allowed Arriurra to escape in the gunship. As he took off, Shryne was cut down by the Twentieth Brother to Arriurra's horror. However, he was able to escape the Imperial blockade and jump into hyperspace.[3]
Service to the Rebellion[]
During the Galactic Civil War Arriurra participated in the Battle for Tatooine, leading a group of Wookiee Warriors.[4]
Armor and equipment[]

In the early months of the Clone Wars, Arriurra would wear a two strapped bandolier and a pair of goggles. However, after losing his left eye he would wear silver armor shoulder plating and belt. Arriurra's weapons consisted of a Kashyyyk stalker pistol and his personal spiritblade. Sometimes he would use a Kashyyyk long-gun or a bowcaster in battle.
Personality and traits[]
Arriurra was known for being quiet and reserved. It wasn't until his enlistment in the Wookiee Army he was able to come out of his shell and demonstrate his leadership abilities. While serving in the Republic Military, Arriurra was constantly teased by fellow troops. However, he would ignore them. After rescuing them from Trandoshans, only then did they give him respect.
Despite his calm nature, Arriurra was very friendly and was always ready to help those in need. As a Wookiee, Arriurra knew loyalty. After being transferred to Havoc Squad, Lieutenant Maxson regarded Arriurra's loyalty to his squadmates as the reason stood well together.
Skills and abilities[]
Besides the characteristic strength of his species, Arriurra possessed exceptional skills in piloting as well as mechanic repairs. Arriurra's technical skill allowed him to understand the inner workings of a great number of devices, including droids and transmitters. Arriurra was an expert swordsmen, able to challenge and disarm opponents in melee combat. He was also a skilled marksman with a blaster.
