Margaret Clitherow

Margaret Clitherow (1556 – 25 Machi 1586) alikuwa mwanamke Mwingereza ambaye, kwa ruhusa ya mume wake, alibadilisha imani yake ya dini kutoka Ushirika wa Anglikana kuingia Kanisa Katoliki.

Kwa vile aliwaficha mapadri nyumbani mwake na kuhudhuria misa ya Kikatoliki, alifungwa mara kadhaa katika dhuluma ya malkia Elizabeti I, akashtakiwa mahakamani lakini alikataa kujitetea ili asisababishe mahakimu wafanye dhambi ya kumpa adhabu ya kifo, hivyo akauawa kwa kubondwa mwili mzima na jiwe kubwa.

Mwaka 1970 alitangazwa na Papa Paulo VI kuwa mtakatifu mfiadini.
