Well, congrats. You discovered it. You get to name it. Although this article is based on canonical information, the actual name of this subject is conjectural. |
This unnamed weapon was described to be a metaphysical supernova that would collapse into a living black hole for divine energy. The resulting explosion and the subsequent vacuum-like state was powerful enough to kill two of the most powerful known beings in the Multiverse, God and the Darkness. It wasn't able to kill the Shadow, due to its vast size.
Background[]
During the War for Creation, God threatened to wipe all of existence. He started by wiping alternate universes with different cataclysmic events such as biblical floods or meteor strikes. While God was away from prime Earth, Billie and the Shadow created an axis against God. Billie sent Jack Kline on a quest to to defeat God. Sam and Dean supported Jack in the quest as they were led to believe the process increased Jack's powers until he was powerful enough to confront Chuck. However, Billie withheld the information that Jack was becoming a living bomb that she wanted to use to eliminate God and the Darkness. Once the primordial siblings have been destroyed, Billie planned to install herself as the new God and to correct the Natural Order.
Although Jack was successful in completing the three quests, they missed the intended target. God revealed he knew Billie's plan against him, and the Winchesters broke alliance with Billie after uncovering her ulterior motive. Billie sent Jack to the Empty just before the explosion as it was the only big player left capable of withstanding the damage. The explosion left the Shadow temporarily incapacitated but the primordial being was able to reconstruct itself later. Jack was pulled back to Earth, where he continued to unknowingly siphon energy around him, thus steadily compounding the nephilim's powers. The ritual eventually made Jack capable of absorbing the combined powers of God and the Darkness.
