Street Fighter is an upcoming live-action film based on Capcom's popular fighting game series of the same name. It is currently in development by Legendary and distributed by Sony Pictures. The film will be directed by Kitao Sakurai and will be release on March 20, 2026.
On April 3, 2023, Legendary anno[1]unced that they acquiring the film and TV rights to the Street Fighter franchise. [2][3] As of April 27, 2023, Youtuber twins Danny and Michael Philippou of the channel RackaRacka were in talks to direct the film.[4] The film's official logo was revealed in May, 2024.[5] On June 17, 2024, the twins has dropped out of the movie as directors to focus on their next film Bring Her Back.[6] On September 27, 2024, Kitao Sakurai was named as the new director for the film.[7]
