The varaki were predatory creatures native to the moon Toshara. They generally fed off smaller animals, also posing a threat to grazing robuma. Tosharan farmers made precautions to protect robuma from varaki attacks, significantly reducing the predators' population; however, the varaki adapted as a result, developing an increased intelligence.[1]
