A Safrifan marsh-lord hailed from the swamp planet Safrifa. They lived on their homeworld during the High Republic Era, alongside their son, and were part of a clan.^[1] In 231 BBY,^[2] their son was taken by a rival clan, prompting them to hire the mercenary Ty Yorrick to rescue their kin. After being promised ample compensation, Yorrick carried out a bloody extraction operation, successfully retrieving the son and returning them to the marsh-lord for her payment of novian ore. After the mercenary returned to her ship, she reflected on her time on Safrifa, including the marsh-lord's rescue job.^[1]

The marsh-lord was mentioned in the novel The High Republic: The Rising Storm, written by Cavan Scott^[1] for the Star Wars: The High Republic multimedia project's Phase I and published on June 29, 2021.^[3] Prior to its release, their mention was included in a StarWars.com preview for the novel on April 22 of that year.^[4]
