The Tarnack was a famed galactic cruiser. Han Dardell Thorpe served as its head pilot.[1]

Behind the scenes[]

As described by Jonathan W. Rinzler's 2007 reference book The Making of Star Wars: The Definitive Story Behind the Original Film, the Tarnack was mentioned in Journal of the Whills (Part) I,[1] a 1973[2] handwritten two-page partial outline by Star Wars creator George Lucas for the film that eventually became Star Wars: Episode IV A New Hope.[1]
