A squadron admiral referred to the admiral in command of a naval squadron. Fleet Admiral^[2] Kendal Ozzel was the squadron admiral of the Imperial Navy's Death Squadron. As the squadron admiral, he or Darth Vader could co-opt warships from other system squadrons.^[1] Firmus Piett succeeded Admiral Ozzel as the admiral in command of Death Squadron.^[3]
