The Rell system had at least six planets. Its sixth planet was the gas giant Rellnas, whose single moon, Rellnas Minor, was home to the Rellarin people.

The Rell system was first listed in The Essential Atlas Online Companion as the "Rellnas Minor system" until being modified as the "Rellnas system" in the latest version released in October, 2012.
