Kuru was an Arcona swoop racer. During the Rion Swoop on the planet Rion, Kuru encountered the smuggler Han Solo, who was competing in the event, and collaborated with other racers, including Makta, to sabotage him and turn him over to the Galactic Empire for a bounty. With the help of Luke Skywalker, Solo managed to win the race, foiling Kuru's plan.^[1]
