The Galactic Alliance Mid Rim Fleet was a major Galactic Alliance Navy fleet formed in the years before the start of the Sith–Imperial War. The prior habit of numbering Defense Force fleets was largely dropped in favor of naming fleets to the specific region of the galaxy they were assigned to defend.
