An Imperial base on Tao was attacked at least seven years into the Imperial Era. Tao, a resource-rich but undeveloped planet in the Outer Rim Territories, accepted the Empire's rule in exchange for assistance developing. Over time, discontent spread among Tao's inhabitants as the Empire oppressed its inhabitants. As a result, some of the local population attacked the Imperial base in a local town.^[1]
