"You are a parasite within a child, and I despise you."
―Bra'tac[src]

Klorel is a Goa'uld Warmaster and is the son of System Lord Apophis, having taken Skaara of Abydos as his host.

Biography[]

1997[]

He was blended with his host Skaara on Chulak and escaped through the Stargate with Apophis. (SG1: "Children of the Gods")

1998[]

Apophis' attack on Earth 2

Joining his father on his campaign against the Tau'ri, Klorel commanded the Ha'tak carrying the Stargate. However, SG-1 managed to gate aboard before they left orbit. Colonel Jack O'Neill and Teal'c attempted to capture Klorel and get through to Skaara, but they were captured. Dr. Daniel Jackson and Captain Samantha Carter attempted to rescue them, but Klorel began to kill Daniel with his Kara kesh. O'Neill was forced to shoot Klorel, but Bra'tac put him in a sarcophagus to delay the campaign. Bra'tac and SG-1 later took Klorel hostage, and ringed over to Apophis' ship, leaving them on the damaged pel'tac. However, Apophis and Klorel escaped back to Klorel's ship and escaped by Stargate. (SG1: "Within the Serpent's Grasp", "The Serpent's Lair")

2000[]

Klorel Armor

Klorel in full Serpent Guard armor.

While fleeing from a fleet sent by Heru'ur, Klorel's Death Glider crashed on Tollana. The Tollans held a Triad to determine who had priority over the body of the host. Colonel Jack O'Neill and Dr. Daniel Jackson argued for Skaara, while the Goa'uld Zipacna argued for Klorel. Both sides voted for their own kind. In the end Lya of the Nox, the neutral party and the final voter, voted in favor of Skaara, reasoning that Klorel and Skaara were capable of independent existence but while together Skaara had absolutely no control, and life as a slave was not a life worth living.

Although Zipacna attempted to destroy Tollana by targeting the Tollan's Ion cannons after Zipacna identified their locations, Teal'c and Lya were able to destroy the mothership by hiding one of the cannons until it was needed. Klorel was removed from Skaara by the Tok'ra. His final fate is unknown. (SG1: "Pretense")
