Gerda Steiner Designs New Release - Melon Muncher

I'm very honored and excited to be Guest Designing for Gerda Steiner Designs this month.

I was given the opportunity to create with their newest 2x3 clear set - Melon Muncher.  I love the GSD critters and this one is just the cutest!  Love the the little cheeks and adorable face.

My design started with a stenciled background using a Sun Ray stencil from My Favorite Things.  The guinea pig was stamped and masked before inking the stencil.  A few hand drawn grass clumps and gems finish the scene.

Please stop by the Gerda Steiner Designs Blog for additional photos and a supply list.

Di's Digi Challenge - Summertime

I'm joining the current Summertime challenge at Di's Digi Challenge.  I colored Di's cute Butterfly Puppy image for a tag bookmark.

The image was colored with Copic markers and fussy cut.  The tag was started with a gelli plate print.  An MFT sunray stencil was applied with distress ink.  I applied the images onto the tag with a Washi Tape border.  I finished the tag with a retired Scripture stamp from Verve Stamps.

Stay Crafty with Hero Challenge #17 Thank You Cards

I'm sharing a fun coffee Thank You card with the current Hero Arts Challenge.  I pulled out one of my favorite Hero Arts Monthly Kits from August 2018.

The coffee cups were stamped onto water color paper, colored with Tombow markers and blended then die cut.  The MMH Kit included a clear laquer pen and puffing emboss powder which I used on the coffee foam.

The stencil background was created with Hero Arts Creamsicle and Lemon Drop inks.  A small strip of dp from my stash and a Hero Arts sentiment (C3016 Written Thank You) finish the card.

MFT Summer School Day 4: Ombre

I'm joining Day 4 of the MFT Summer School lessons.  I pulled out a retired MFT set called Life's Direction and an MFT stencil called Sun Ray for this clean and simple ombre design.

The stencil was sponged with various distress inks.  The fun chicken and weathervane were stamped in VersaClaire ink with my Misti.  I really like how this turned out.

Paper Smooches Color Pop Challenge

I'm joining the current Paper Smooches challenge - Black and White with a Pop of color.  I pulled out a favorite PS set - Paws for a Cause for this challenge.

I started by sponging a sunray stencil on the base panel.  Using my Misti, I stamped the dog silhouette and sentiment from the PS Sentiment Sampler set.  A couple of pieces of washi tape finishes the card.
Just in case you haven't heard the (sad) news, Kim will be closing the Paper Smooches store.  She is currently liquidating the store with a retiring sale this summer.  Be sure to stop by and check it out!

My Favorite Things Wednesday Sketch Challenge #480 and Color Challenge #137

Sharing a quick card for the sketch and color challenges hosted by My Favorite Things.  I pulled out a favorite MFT set - The Whole Herd to create a fun birthday card.

The scene was created by sponging Memento ink and the MFT Sun Ray stencil.  Memento Pear Tart ink was sponged along the bottom for grass.  I stamped the cow onto water color paper, colored and blended with Tombow markers then die cut.  A coordinating sentiment and enamel dots finish the card.
