- Pat Morita - Appears on the memory card of "Karate Island." It seems like he died around the time the episode came out, as the year numbers 1932-2005 are also on the card.
- Don Newhouse - He winks and gives a thumbs-up when SpongeBob compliments old folks. ("Mermaid Man and Barnacle Boy")
- Ernest Borgnine - He appears in "Mooncation," and a credit similar to Pat Morita is seen at the end of "Super Evil Aquatic Villain Team Up is Go!" He also portrayed Mermaid Man until his death.
- Imported pianist - The "imported music" in the episode "Krusty Love."
- Artist - appears in "Frankendoodle." He drops his pencil into the ocean, falling into Bikini Bottom, not having another one. Later, he breaks his pencil, not having a sharpener. Played by Doug Lawrence.
- Comedy Drummer - appears in "Prehibernation Week" to alert us to Sandy's bad pun about fly-fishing. Played by storyboard artist Aaron Springer.
- Kids of Monkey Lagoon - The kids featured in "The Seven Trials of Monkey Lagoon" in the episode "The Sponge Who Could Fly."
- Santa Claus - As seen in "Christmas Who?" and It's a SpongeBob Christmas!
- Miner - Gives Patchy the lost episode tape and resides inside a treasure chest buried in a sandbox in the episode "The Sponge Who Could Fly." Played by Stephen Hillenburg.
- Nosferatu - The classic vampire that had been flicking the lights on and off at the Krusty Krab, as seen in "Graveyard Shift"
- George - A zebra who appears in the episode "I Had an Accident." Dee Bradley Baker in zebra costume.
- Gorilla - Frank Welker in a gorilla costume. ("I Had an Accident" and Friend or Foe)
- Cavey - A caveman that Patchy found in an iceberg and spent three days thawing him out with his mother's hairdryer in the episode "Ugh." Portrayed by Bill Fagerbakke, the same person who voices Patrick Star.
- X-29488 - The robot android cyborg that Potty releases in the episode "Ugh."
- Patchy's mother - Only referenced in the episode "Ugh."
- Tom Kenny - In "Neptune's Spatula", when Neptune opens a curtain to reveal Atlantis, he accidentally reveals Tom Kenny in the shower. He also portrays SpongeBob, Gary, The French Narrator, and Patchy.
- Bodybuilder - A bodybuilder that appears in "Life of Crime." His only line is "Ja, buns and thighs!" supporting SpongeBob's statement, "All this running is good for your buns and thighs." He (bodybuilder) speaks like Arnold Schwarzenegger, with an Austrian Accent.
- David Hasselhoff - The actor from Baywatch. Helps SpongeBob and Patrick make it back to Bikini Bottom in time.
- Patchy's Present - a dinosaur who appears in "Ugh." After the "When Worlds Collide" song, Potty presents the dinosaur to Patchy as a gift. The dinosaur chases Patchy and bites him.
- Hans - a hand of a sailor that usually appears in several episodes and has a Dutch accent, but in "Model Sponge," he speaks in an Austrian accent similar to Arnold Schwarzenegger. He first appears in "Suds," and his name is also revealed in that episode.
- Fishermen - a group of human men that appear in "Hooky," casting along the waters of Bikini Atoll. They are very low tempered.
- Subliminal message girl - Appears in "Gary Takes a Bath" as a cameo with her laughing.
- Burger Beard - A pirate who uses a magic book to steal the Krabby Patty formula.
- Unknown man - A man walking on the Tacoma Narrows Bridge is seen in the episode "To SquarePants or Not to SquarePants."
Robots[]
- Chumbot - Appears in "Enemy In-Law." He takes citizens hostage and "forces them to eat at the Chum Bucket." Also captures Mrs. Krabs (Mr. Krabs' mom) and then has an affair with her, while Plankton tries to become her husband and fails.
- Command Module - one of the three robots that Plankton creates in "Komputer Overload." It fights with the other two, and is eventually combined with the other two robots, but is destroyed along with the others when the plug comes off. It is a hair dryer taped to an old-fashioned miniature wind-mill.
- Plankton robot - Used by Plankton to rob the Krabby Patty in the episode "Plankton's Army." Mr. Krabs thinks that the robot is a part of one of Plankton's schemes, but is not since the robot did not order the Krabby Patty, but inside the "dollar" that the robot gave Mr. Krabs is Plankton. He is voiced by Dee Bradley Baker.
- Weenie bot - a waiter at Weenie Hut Jr's in the episode "No Weenies Allowed."
- Robot Krabs - appears in "Imitation Krabs." It is a robot replica of Mr. Krabs controlled by Plankton. It is also used to steal the Krabby Patty recipe, but explodes when SpongeBob inserts a coin into the self-destruct coin slot. It is again seen in "New Leaf" along with some other "friends from the past." In the episode "Spy Buddies," Plankton is using the robot again.
- Robot SpongeBob - a robot built in the episode "Welcome to the Chum Bucket." Used by Plankton to control SpongeBob's brain in order to reveal the Krabby Patty formula. He is a recurring villain in the video games, but is differently designed, and is somehow arrogant and lazy. SpongeBob is his nemesis.
- Robo 2.1 - a robot that SpongeBob gives to Patrick in "The Gift of Gum." It follows Patrick around and calls him "master."
- SPU31 - appears in "Komputer Overload." One of Plankton's robots. It squirts water at the other two robots in a fight. It has no arms, and has two legs made of wood.
- T-119A Compumatic - one of the three robots that Plankton creates in "Komputer Overload." It fights the other two robots until Plankton combines the three to create a giant robot. It is a toaster with two legs and one arm.

The Command Module
- Robo-Plankton - a robot that looks exactly like Plankton seen in The SpongeBob Movie: Sponge Out of Water. Plankton uses it to fool Krabs into thinking it is the real Plankton (who is inside a fake penny given to Mr. Krabs). While he is gloating, the real Plankton gets into the safe and would have stolen the formula if SpongeBob didn't walk in.
- Cashina - Created by Plankton in "Married to Money."
Unnamed characters[]
- Anchovies - There are various anchovies in Bikini Bottom. Some are part of the Jellyspotters, led by Kevin C. Cucumber. They mostly say "meep." They have huge appetites and are very demanding customers when they show up at the Krusty Krab. Most of Pearl's boyfriends are anchovies, including Octavius Rex. First seen in "Help Wanted." They are voiced by Rodger Bumpass. Lenny and Mable are also anchovies.
- Old Fish and Guard - appear in the episode "Atlantis SquarePantis."
- Frank - Aqua fish who is another lifeguard at Goo Lagoon. ("Ripped Pants") Voiced by Dee Bradley Baker.
- Chef - works in a kitchen at Goo Lagoon making burgers and hotdogs. ("Ripped Pants")
- Giant eel - eats the frog fish monster (The SpongeBob SquarePants Movie).
- Loser 2 - Fish who gets sand in his buns in the episode "Ripped Pants."
- Frank - Is buried in the sand and forgotten in the episode "Ripped Pants."
- Cephalopod Lodge members - Very little is known about this group.
- Richard - Asks for a job application for the Krusty Krab. Mistaken for the Hash-Slinging Slasher after calling on the phone and hanging up in the episode "Graveyard Shift." Voiced by Dee Bradley Baker.
- Swordfish trucker - Drives a semi-truck in the episode "Pizza Delivery." Does not like break dancers. He is a purple marlin. Voiced by Doug Lawrence.
- Referee - Referees the Anchor Toss Competition at Goo Lagoon in the episode "MuscleBob BuffPants". He keeps getting hit by anchors.
- Royal fish - The king that Squidward is performing for in his dream in "Sleepy Time."
- Electric eel - The eel who cuts in front of SpongeBob at the ice cream vendor at Goo Lagoon in the episode "Walking Small." Later, Plankton has SpongeBob make the eel cry "tears of joy."
- Blonde eel - if fish that wanted to tell him how to tie his shoes, but she couldn't since she is an eel. She appears in "Your Shoe's Untied."
- Octopus vendor - An octopus who works at a burger/hot dog stall at Goo Lagoon ("Walking Small").
- Sea creature - An unnamed monster who ate SpongeBob in the episode "Your Shoe's Untied."
- Mrs. Crossing Guard Fish - Crossing guard in Bikini Bottom seen in the episode "Something Smells."

- Large snail - A snail that appears in "Nature Pants." In that following episode, This snail serves as a brief hiding spot for SpongeBob when he is being pursued by Patrick after which, It meows and slithers away. It is very large and has a gray, speckled shell that is covered in coral. It will most likely not be featured in future episodes
- Dolly - is a minor character in the movie PC game.
- Pirates - A crew of pirates who sell bomb pies in "Dying for Pie."
- Huge guy - He appears in "The Fry Cook Games." He carries Patrick during his introduction. The only word he says is "aaaah" when SpongeBob and Patrick are "getting angry."
Other characters[]
- Squid Doodle - Patrick draws this crude 2D drawing of Squidward with the "magic pencil." He only mumbled and shook his fist for about 30 seconds in "Frankendoodle" before he is erased.
- Magic mustache - Patrick draws a mustache on himself that came to life in Frankendoodle flew away onto Squidward's head and served as his toupee. Later on, Squidward tripped and the mustache flew away.
- Rocky - Patrick's pet snail, whom he enters in "The Great Snail Race"; Rocky appears to actually be a rock, but manages to overcome this setback to win the race. According to Patrick, he "has nerves of steel."
- Roger - An unhatched egg in "New Student Starfish." He eventually hatches at the end, saying in a voice reminding of Don Knotts - "Hey, what'd I miss?"
- Mr. Seaweed - A monster that Patrick wants to be in "That's No Lady," but it turns out that he actually exists. Has seaweed for hair.
- Mini Squidward - SpongeBob makes this wooden version of Squidward when the real Squidward would not play with him. He is the exact opposite of the real Squidward, and appears in "Squid Wood."
- Patty - Short-lived Krabby Patty, SpongeBob crushes on Patty. Finally, SpongeBob eats her. She appears in "To Love a Patty."
- Sink Buddy - A sink that is one of SpongeBob's buddy ideas in the episode "Bubble Buddy."
- Rock Buddy - A rock that is one of SpongeBob's buddy ideas in the episode "Bubble Buddy."
- Stick Buddy - A stick that is one of SpongeBob's buddy ideas in the episode "Bubble Buddy."
- Sea monkey - A species that first appears in the episode "Not Normal."
