— Huge guy, "The Fry Cook Games"
|
The huge guy,[1] also known as Pirate 8, is a minor character who first appears in the episode "The Fry Cook Games."
Description[]
He is an incredibly muscular purplish-gray fish, with a small orange dorsal fin. He wears black shorts and a black strap that fits around his chest. In his preliminary design, his eyes were smaller and he had dark circles around his eyes.
Pirate 8[]
He is colored yellow and wears a black pirate hat, a salmon tank top, blue shorts, and black shoes.
Role in series[]
The huge guy appears in only four episodes so far. He was originally considered to be an altered variant of Incidental 24, but was later promoted to be a separate character from him. He appears to usually be portrayed as a muscular fish. In the episode "Grandpappy the Pirate," a "Pirate" incidental of him was created. He is absent from the series for many years after his appearance in "Grandpappy the Pirate," but he makes a comeback in the season 13 episode "Say Awww!"
Roles[]
"The Fry Cook Games" / Comic Number 12 / Another Day, Another Sand Dollar[]
He appears as an abnormally large muscular fish where he makes a dramatic entrance as Plankton announces to the crowd at the Fry Cook Games competition the arrival of the contestant he has chosen to represent the Chum Bucket, only to be revealed as the one carrying the real contestant - Patrick.
"Krusty Krushers"[]
He is one of the many tough fish who try to defeat Champ 1 and his partner, unsuccessfully.
"Grandpappy the Pirate"[]
He is seen in the group of pirates in Mr. Krabs' flashback.
"Say Awww!"[]
He is part of the pyramid that the Bikini Bottomites form in order to escape from Q.T.-π.
"Pinned"[]
He is one of the pirates Patrick invites for SpongeBob's surprise party.
Roles in games[]
The Yellow Avenger[]
He is one of the enemies controlled by the little red Dirty Bubbles. He is seen in the Jellyfish Fields and charges towards the player. To defeat him, like every enemy in the game, the player must step on him a number of times depending on how many Dirty Bubbles the enemy has. In this case, he has three. After freeing him, he cheers at SpongeBob and subsequently leaves.
Trivia[]
- Despite originally being an altered variant of Incidental 24 in "The Fry Cook Games," both he and Incidental 24 were portrayed as separate characters during the same scene in the episode.
