The Police Station is the headquarters of the Bikini Bottom Police Department. It first appears in the episode "Life of Crime."
About[]
Description[]
It is a sky-blue building with a round entrance with a badge on it. It has a chimney and a stairway that leads to the front door. It lastly has a sign above the doorway that reads the place's name written in red capital text.
In the episode "Life of Crime" along with the video games Battle for Bikini Bottom and Battle for Bikini Bottom: Rehydrated, it is small and blue with a fireplace that reads the place's name. Only in "SpongeBob Meets the Strangler," "Fiasco!," and "Call the Cops" is it a little bigger and with more fireplaces.

Role in series[]
"Life of Crime"[]
SpongeBob and Patrick report themselves to the Police Station for stealing a balloon. They are put in a jail cell for their actions, only to be released a few seconds later due to it being National Free Balloon Day, making the crime invalid.
"SpongeBob Meets the Strangler"[]
Patrick turns himself in to the Police Station after the Tattletale Strangler, in disguise as SpongeBob's bodyguard, accuses Patrick of being him.
Even after SpongeBob's "bodyguard" reveals his true identity, SpongeBob still believes the Strangler to be his bodyguard, so he follows him for protection. The Strangler tries many attempts to get away from SpongeBob, only for the latter to follow him everywhere he goes. When the Strangler jumps out of a plane using a parachute, said parachute turns out to be SpongeBob in shapeshifting form, so he cuts the strings of it off and ends up landing in a jail cell in the Police Station, in which Patrick is his inmate.
"Fiasco!"[]
Squidward and Plankton are put in jail for involvement with the Fiasco theft.
Role in Battle for Bikini Bottom/Battle for Bikini Bottom: Rehydrated[]
In the console versions of the original Battle for Bikini Bottom, and all versions of Rehydrated, the Police Station can be visited by SpongeBob once the player unlocks the second part of town in the game. When SpongeBob visits it, he can step on a button that activates the Robot Viewer, a computer that gives information about the robotic enemies in the game.
Trivia[]
- There are cells in the building despite it being the headquarters for the Bikini Bottom Police Department rather than the jail.
- In the game, Sheldon J. Plankton is described as the best person despite his actions during the show clearly contradicting that.
