Silver Creek is a frontier town, about a day's ride from Silverlode, which itself is a four-hour ride from Miradero. Silver Creek was the first stop of El Circo Dos Grillos, on June 25th, after their performances in Miradero on June 23rd and 24th, in Lucky's second summer living back on the frontier. Running away from home after overhearing about her father's engagement to the schoolteacher Miss Flores, Lucky found the circus in Silver Creek, and her friends Pru and Abigail eventually found her there as well, after first accidentally travelling to Silverlode and finding their way to the ocean.[1]
