El Circo Dos Grillos is a travelling circus to which Lucky's mother Milagro Navarro belonged. Travelling by wagon caravan and performing in villages and towns on the frontier, the circus features jugglers, acrobats, charreaderas, a strongman, and magic.[1]
The owners of El Circo Dos Grillos, Fito and Estrella, took Milagro in shortly after her sixteenth birthday when she fled from being forced to marry a local in Mexico.[1]
When El Circo Dos Grillos came to Miradero, Lucky filled in for injured charreadera Solana to perform horse stunts with Spirit.[1] When the circus left town, Lucky and Spirit Jr ran away to join the circus,[1] and Pru and Abigail (along with Chica Linda and Boomerang) joined them for several weeks.[2][3][4][5]
El Circo Dos Grillos has always welcomed orphans and runaways.
