Together with his triplet siblings, Sonia and Manic, Sonic seeks to find their mother, Queen Aleena, and overthrow Dr. Robotnik's dictatorship over Mobius.

Sonic is a small, rotund hedgehog with blue fur, black colored eyes, a black nose, and peach skin. He has six spikes on his head and two on his back. He wears red and white sneakers, white socks, white cuffed gloves, and his royal medallion around his neck.
His winter outfit consists of a red Insulated Parka with winter boots. A purple scarf is also around his neck. He alternates with wearing an brown fur ushanka hat and yellow earmuffs.
History[]
TV series[]
Sonic was born to Queen Aleena as the crown prince of planet Mobius; thus, he is the planet's future king. Shortly after the triplets' births, Doctor Robotnik seized power of Mobotropolis and converted it into the polluted and metallic city of Robotropolis. A bounty was placed on the children of Queen Aleena who then was forced to take them into hiding. Eventually, the Oracle of Delphius appeared before her with a prophecy which foretold that she would have to separate her children in order to save their lives. Aleena sent the siblings to three different caretakers. When Sonic was young, his foster parents were arrested and their home was destroyed. Sonic was taken in by his Uncle Chuck. Sonic would learn how to play an electric guitar that, he soon figured out, could also be a weapon. He then went off to form a band after meeting Sonia and Manic. The Oracle of Delphius reappeared to tell the children of their origins. Shortly afterwards, Dr. Robotnik captured Uncle Chuck, as well as Sonia and Manic's guardians and roboticized them. It was then that the three hedgehog children would form an alliance with each other to locate their missing mother.
Archie Comics[]
Shortly after Sonic, Manic and Sonia's births, Dr. Robotnik would seize power of Mobotropolis and convert it into the polluted and metallic city of Robotropolis. A bounty was placed on the children of the queen, and thus Aleena was forced to take them into hiding. Eventually, the Oracle of Delphius appeared before her with a prophecy which foretold that she would have to separate with her children in order save their lives. Sending the siblings to three different caretakers, Sonic was taken in by his Uncle Chuck. Sonic would learn how to play electric guitar and went off to form a band after meeting Sonia and Manic. The Oracle of Delphius reappeared to tell the children of their origins. Shortly afterwards, Dr. Robotnik captured Uncle Chuck, as well as Sonia and Manic's guardians and roboticized them. It was then that the three hedgehog children would form an alliance with each other to locate their missing mother.[3]
When Robo-Robotnik v1.0 utilized the Giant Borg, Zonic the Zone Cop would seek assistance from each version of Sonic Prime across the multiverse. Yet because of the overwhelming amount of Zones in the Multiverse, Sonic and his world was overlooked. Because of this, Sonic never received a piece of the Giant Borg when they were distributed to all the Sonics across the Multiverse.[3][4]
Anti-Sonic would appear in Sonic's dimension on a mission from Robo-Robotnik to recover the Giant Borg. Believing Sonic also possessed a piece of the Giant Borg; he located and interrogated him and his siblings. The evil hedgehog departed only for two new Sonics to appear: Sonic Prime and Zonic. Sonic, Sonia, and Manic mistook Sonic Prime for Anti-Sonic until the two new hedgehogs explained who they are. Zonic would remark how he had a lack of data on Sonic and his dimension and would request an explanation of their Zone's history.[3]
Robotnik later appeared in the Giant Borg after recovering the pieces from Anti-Sonic. Believing he captured Sonic (after mistaking Anti-Sonic for him), he was hoping to find Sonia, Manic, and the rest of their resistance to destroy them once and for all. Sonia, Manic, Zonic, and the Sonics formulated a plan to defeat him. Using himself as bait, Sonic used his speed to distract Robotnik as Sonic Prime and Zonic would climb into the Giant Borg to defeat him. The Giant Borg fired a heat-seeking missile at Sonic which he decided to use to his advantage, running at the Giant Borg as Sonic Prime and Zonic took care of Dr. Robotnik. The missile would destroy the Giant Borg weapon once and for all.[3]
After the battle, Zonic and the Sonics followed Manic and Sonia into Robotnik’s prison where Anti-Sonic was located. They would break Anti-Sonic out of jail who remarked that they were just arresting him again, which Prime Sonic would point out that it still beats being roboticized. Prime Sonic and Zonic thanked Underground Sonic and his brother and sister before taking Anti-Sonic and leaving the Underground Zone. Sonic, Sonia, and Manic were then left to speculate whether they would ever see Prime Sonic and Zonic ever again.[3]
Around the time of Sonic Prime's absence following the Xorda Attack on Mobius, Sonic and his siblings made a visit to Mobius Prime as part of an Interdimensional concert tour.[5]
Personality[]
Sonic is a wise-cracker of epic proportions and often cannot resist taking a stab at friend or foe alike. He has a big heart and is always willing to help someone in danger. Sonic can be, justifiably, arrogant about his speed and skills and can have difficulties working in a team or taking the time to plan. He is also somewhat vain, often bragging about his good looks. Sonic is extremely impatient and would rather handle all the jobs himself than wait for others to take care of it. However he will admit if he made a mistake, though usually not when anyone can hear him. His love of chili dogs remains and he tends to have poor etiquette, much to Sonia's disgust.
He has a dislike of water and a near crippling fear of the ocean as he cannot swim, but his determination and bravery help him push through his fear if necessary. Above all else, he loves his brother and sister and can be very protective of them.
Additionally, as the leader of the team, Sonic tries his best to keep his siblings in line, and often gives orders on most missions. He thus proves himself to be a very strong and capable leader, but it can go to this head. When Luke Periwinkle attempted to drive a wedge between Sonic and his siblings, he told Sonic that he is a better leader and is to be crowned King of Mobius. Before then, Sonic even said himself that when he is crowned, he will assign positions on his court to his siblings.
Powers and abilities[]
Sonic is capable of moving at supersonic speed, and is implied to be the fastest thing in his universe. Thanks to his speed, he can perform the Super Sonic Triple Spin, where he curls into a ball and launches himself at his target at high speed. It allows him to strike his target like a cannonball with enough force smash metal robots apart in a single hit, or turn himself into a buzz saw to shred through his target. The hedgehog also possesses amazing durability, able to survive being blasted with fire[6] or struck by lightning three times in a row without injury.
Like his brother and sister, Sonic has mastered the art of disguise aptly enough to sneak around.
Sonic is a very talented singer and guitar player.[7]
Weapons[]
Sonic carries a magical medallion capable of transforming into an electric guitar. This guitar could be played and also produce blue laser blasts.

Trivia[]
- This version of Sonic is the first alternate Sonic featured in the Archie Comics who was taken from an existing branch of the Sonic franchise rather than created new; he would later be followed by the version of Sonic from the universe of Sonic X.
- Sonic's story-and that of the Sonic Underground series-was intended to be resolved in a single-issue story that was going to be included in Sonic Universe #50, but this was later abandoned.
- And due to series being cancelled, its never been revealed if Sonic and his siblings reunited with thier mother and restored peace on Mobius or if Dr. Robotnik succesfully defeated and roboticized them.
- This version of Sonic would be the last to have Jaleel White voicing him.
- And due to White maturing, Sonic's voice sounds toned down compared to his two other potrayals.
- Sonic's quote "I'm waiting" was a common phrase used by his counterparts in Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog and the Sonic the Hedgehog animated series, based off of the idle animation of Sonic impatiently tapping his foot from the early video games of the time.
