Manolo Edson Rey Salles is a well-known Brazilian voice actor who has voiced several incarnations of Sonic the Hedgehog in various media.^{[citation needed]}

History[]

Rey replaced Oberdan Júnior as Sonic's voice in the Sonic the Hedgehog TV series, however his first dub as Sonic was in Sonic Underground, the show that he claims to be his favorite. He stated in an interview that his first contact with Sonic was the Sega Genesis classics. He also translated Sonic X, and voiced the "Ugly Sonic" that appears in Chip n' Dale: Rescue Rangers.

Rey also voiced Sonic in OK K.O.! Let's Be Heroes and Cartoon Network's MAD.

• Rey dubbed James Marsden as Cyclops in the X-Men film franchise.
• Rey had dubbed Ben Schwartz’s live-action portrayals in few opportunities prior to the Sonic films. After the launch of the movies, Rey became the main voice dubbing actor of the American comedian/actor in later productions, such as Space Force and The Afterparty.
• Rey, along with Leonardo Serrano, is one of the longest running voice actors for the Sonic the Hedgehog series in the Brazilian Portuguese language.
