Blaze the Cat is a character that appears in the Sonic the Hedgehog comic series and its spin-offs published by Archie Comics. She is the alternate version of Blaze the Cat from another Zone. She is a friend to Sonic the Hedgehog, and along with his other friends and allies has at times been threatened by evil forces such as Dr. Eggman.

Appearance[]

Blaze is identical in appearance and standard wardrobe to her Sol Zone counterpart. As such, she is a lavender-furred cat with gold eyes, a small black nose and a white-furred muzzle. She has triangular ears with peach-colored canals on top of her head, two medium-length eyelashes on each side of her eyes, and a long tail with the end frayed and violet. Her fur is longer on each side of her head and sweeps slightly upwards. She has four plumes of hair with violet tips done up in a high ponytail with a red hair tie. She also has a red oval gem on her forehead, resembling a bindi.

For attire, Blaze wears a purple tailcoat with rose trim at the bottom, a gold collar, and white leggings. She also wears white gloves with fluffy cuffs and rose, high-heeled shoes with gray soles, white stripes and fluffy cuffs, like her gloves.

During the Olympic games, she wears a different outfit, retaining only her ponytail and gloves from her usual attire. Her Olympics attire consists of a purple tracksuit, which shirt exposes some of her midriff, and rose sport shoes with white stripes and gray soles. The bottom of her shirt and the waist of her pants have rose trim, while the latter sporting a white stripe down the outside of each leg.

Sonic Generations[]

Together with Sonic's other friends, Blaze helped throw a surprise birthday party for him. However, the happy event was disrupted by the arrival of the Time Eater, who sent the various guests hurtling to different parts of time.^[1]

Olympic Trials[]

Following the Time Eater episode, Blaze again joined with her friends and acquaintances for a friendly event: taking part in the Olympic Games. Along with Amy Rose and Rouge the Bat, she took place in the hurdle event only to be caught in a trap by Dr. Eggman that landed most of Sonic's friends inside a large Prison Egg. Fortunately, Sonic was able to defeat Metal Sonic in several events and free them.^[2]
