Vestland

Vestland is a county in Norway that was created on 1 January 2020.[1][2] The county is located in Western Norway and it is centred around the city of Bergen.

History: The island Selja (in Stad) has ruins of the monastery Selje kloster; It was built in the 12th century; It became the first bishopry in Norway; The bishopry was moved to Bergen (1170).[3]
