Suchitra Bhattacharya (10 January 1950 – 12 May 2015) was an Indian novelist.[1] Over the past two decades, Suchitra had written about 24 novels and a large number of short stories in different leading Bengali literary magazines.

Bhattacharya died on 12 May 2015 from cardiac arrest at her home in Dhakuria, Kolkata, aged 65. [2]
