Shlomo Lahat

Shlomo Lahat (9 September 1927 – 1 October 2014) was an Israeli general and politician. He served as Mayor of Tel Aviv from 1974 until 1993. He was a member of Likud.
Lahat was born in Berlin, Germany. He and his family moved to Israel in 1933 during the Nazi uprising. During his final years, Lahat had Alzheimer's disease.
Lahat died from a lung infection on 1 October 2014 in Tel Aviv. He was 86.[1]
