Sammy Ellis

Samuel Joseph Ellis (February 11, 1941 – May 13, 2016) was an American professional baseball pitcher. He played in Major League Baseball (MLB) for the Cincinnati Reds (1962 – 1967), California Angels (1968), and Chicago White Sox (1969). He was born in Youngstown, Ohio. His career began in the early 1960s. He retired in 1970.

Ellis was an MLB All-Star in 1965.

Ellis died of cancer at his home in Temple Terrace, Florida on May 13, 2016, aged 75.[1]
