Jan Paweł Lenga (born 28 March 1950)[1] is a Ukrainian Roman Catholic Archbishop Emeritus of Karaganda, Kazakhstan.

Early life

Jan Paweł Lenga was born on 28 March 1950 in Horodok, Ukraine. He became a priest on 28 May 1980.[1][2]

Lenga worked in Kazakhstan, where he served as a priest. In 1991, he was consecrated as the bishop of Karaganda. In 1999, he was appointed the Archbishop of Karaganda.[1][2]

On May 17, 2003, Jan Paweł Lenga received the title of Archbishop "ad personam".[3]

In 2011, he resigned as Archbishop and became Archbishop Emeritus of Karaganda.[2][4]
