Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 is a first-person shooter video game. It was both published by Activision and developed by both Treyarch and Raven Software. The game will be released on October 25, 2024 for the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Windows, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.[1] It is the twenty-first game in the Call of Duty series and the seventh in the Black Ops subseries.
The game takes place in the 1990s during the Gulf War. It follows the aftermath of the events from Black Ops Cold War and the fall of the Berlin Wall.[2]
New additions to the game include being able to move omnidirectional, sixteen new maps at launch to play on, traditional levelling system for Prestige, and new weapons.[3][4] The game also marks the return of the Zombies mode which was popular in the older games.[5]
At launch, the game will be released on Xbox Game Pass.[6] The game will need a continuous internet connection for all of its modes.[7]
