Zenitsu Agatsuma is one of the two tritagonists of Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba.

He was voiced by Hiro Shimono in Japanese and by Aleks Le in the English dub.

What Makes Him a Shonen Hero?[]

• Heroic/Honorable: Zenitsu played a big role in the eradication of the demon race.
• Courageous/Reckless: While he starts off as a complete coward, he slowly becomes braver as the series progresses, and also flirts with no thoughts on the consequences.
• Energetic: Even though he doesn't show it as often as Tanjiro or Inosuke due to his cowardly demeanor, Zenitsu does have a hotblooded side that he reveals in combat.
• Stubborn: While normally weak-willed, Zenitsu does possess a high level of willpower, best demonstrated by how he refuses to give up when injured.
• Pursues a Big-End Goal: Zenitsu desires to win Nezuko's heart and kill Kaigaku to avenge his master.
• Hard-Working: As jaded he may be, Zenitsu does put his effort in his training.
• Unintelligent: While he is the most down to earth between him, Tanjiro, and Inosuke, and is more street-smart than both of them, Zenitsu can be idiotic and sometimes outright incompetent.
• Determined: Although he is sometimes overly cowardly, Zenitsu can be determined when the moment calls for it.
• Unpredictable: While usually hiding it out of fear, Zenitsu has an immense amount of power, showing much of it when he is asleep.
• Unnatural Hair Color: Orange-yellow.
• Short-Tempered: Zenitsu can lose his cool at times, especially whenever he thinks his allies are hitting on girls. Even out of that, he can get annoyed at times with his companions' personalities and behavior.
• Has a Rival/Mentor: Zenitsu had a rivalry with Kaigaku and was mentored by Jigoro Kuwajima.
• Has an Idol: Zenitsu looked up to Jigoro.
• Mischievous: Zenitsu has a humongous tendency to hit up on girls.
• Tragic Past: After his senior Kaigaku became a demon, Zenitsu would lose his mentor to suicide by seppuku. This led to him wanting to kill Kaigaku for his treachery.
• Street-Smart: Being the only three of the main trio who grew up in an urban environment, Zenitsu has a high amount of street-smarts.
