The Avengers is a Breetish spy-fi televeesion series creatit in the 1960s. The Avengers initially focused on Dr. David Keel (Ian Hendry) an his assistant John Steed (Patrick Macnee). Hendry left efter the first series an Steed becam the main chairacter, pairtnered wi a succession o assistants. Steed's maist famous assistants wur intelligent, stylish an assertive weimen: Cathy Gale (Honor Blackman), Emma Peel (Diana Rigg), an later Tara King (Linda Thorson).
