Serednie (Ukrainian: Середнє; Hungarian: Szerednye) is an urban-teep dounset in the Uzhhorod Raion (destrict) o Zakarpattia Oblast (province) in wastren Ukraine.[2] The toun's population wis 3,505 as o the 2001 Ukrainian Census[2] an 3,733 in 2011.[3] Geographically, Serednie is locatit exactly atween the ceeties o Uzhhorod, the destrict's admeenistrative centre, an Mukachevo.
The veelage hooses the remains o a Romanesque castle.[4] The veelage itsel wis first mentioned in the 14t century,[5] awtho airchaeologists hae datit the castle back tae the 12t century.[6] The castle is said tae hae been built bi the Knichts Templar.[6][7][8]
