For Power Pt. 1 is the seventh episode of Red vs. Blue: Zero. It premiered on December 21, 2020 for Rooster Teeth FIRST members and December 28, 2020 for the general public. It is the 363rd episode overall.

Upon arriving at the final temple, Shatter Squad burst into action and rush towards the entrance. There, they are greeted by several monsters but quickly defeat them. However, a large Guardian wielding a pair of blades appears and blocks their path. Shatter Squad works together to take down the beast. As the group advance further into the temple they encounter Diesel wielding a great weapon of his own. Carolina decides to face him one-on-one while the rest of Shatter Squad advance. Raymond provides Carolina with a few upgrades to help her in battle, before leaving with his team.
Shatter Squad reach the next section of the temple, where Phase attacks them. One apologizes to Phase for her neglecting what she was going through, adding that she was too focused on being the best. Phase thanks her for her apology but states that it's still too late. Phase then tries to attack One but West intercepts her. As the others prepare to fight Phase together, West orders them to go after Zero, wanting to face Phase alone. The others argue against this but West stands by his decision. Running out of time, One, Raymond, and Axel advance. West then tries to explain himself to Phase, even calling her by her real name Danielle, but she refuses to have any of it, accusing him of prioritizing his new family over his old one. When West apologizes, Phase doesn't accept it and releases her Holo-Echo, East, so they both can fight him.
At the entrance to the temple's vault room, One, Axel, and Raymond reach Zero, who has just used his Key to unlock the door to the vault holding the Ultimate Power. The three spring into action, taking on Zero in a three-on-one battle. Axel and One try to fight Zero simultaneously but the latter continuously outmatches them. Raymond then joins in but is also beaten down by Zero.
Back near the entrance, Carolina uses her humbler stun batons to fight against Diesel and manages to hold her own. With the combination of Raymond's upgrades and her own skill, Carolina weakens Diesel's armor and eventually blasts him with his own Rocket Launcher. With Diesel down, Carolina prepares to finish him off but is intercepted by a trio of monsters.
Meanwhile, West defends himself against Phase and East's oncoming attacks. The battle slowly intensifies, with Phase and East breaking apart West's large shield while scolding him in the process for being a poor father. The two continue to beat West down until he is brought to his knees but the latter still refuses to fight. Phase then laments about how horrifically Starlight Laboratories experimented on her and explains that West's neglection of his own family was the cause of their deaths. She blames him for destroying her life and asks why she shouldn't kill him. West doesn't have an answer. Phase then furiously punches West in the face repeatedly, dropping him to the floor. West then weakly explains that after losing Phase's brother and sister, her mother made him swore to protect her. Phase then lunges at him but West blocks her and attempts to retaliate but stops himself. After East kicks him down again, West admits that he failed her and apologizes, calling her Danielle. However, Danielle tells him that her name is Phase.
Inside the vault room, Zero approaches the ultimate power - a helmet. Shatter Squad tries to make him see reason but Zero takes the helmet and is sent to a mysterious void, where he meets a figure named "The Black Lotus", Keeper of the Armor. The Black Lotus questions why Zero should possess the Armor despite being a mortal. Zero, however, clarifies that he is no mere mortal but much more than that. As a result, the Black Lotus gives Zero the Armor, allowing Zero to gain the ultimate power. As One, Raymond, and Axel witness in shock, Zero, now wearing the Armor, unleashes his sword and faces the trio, with the Black Lotus speaking through him.
