If you have arrived here from the very talented Kathy Stacey, then you are on the right track. If you've stumbled on me from elsewhere, you're going to want to start at the very beginning (it's a very good place to start) with Technique Junkies. After you have scrolled down through my post, you will see the links for the whole hop!
I have several projects to share with you today! First up are a couple of cards that will make you want to run and get a cuppa!
I started with chocolate brown bases for both cards. I then stamped the Coffee Beans (S606) background on two pieces of cardstock using Versamark ink and embossed using a brown embossing powder. I trimmed the pieces and adhered them to the card bases.
For the Runnin' On Coffee card, I used my Silhouette to cut the coffee cup and sentiment. I assembled those and adhered them to the card base. Using Coffee Archival Ink (appropriate, right???), I stamped the Coffee Gauge (SD703). I used the MISTI so I could stamp over the image several times and get a nice, crisp image. Using a white gel pen, I highlighted the light parts of the image. The image was then cut out and foam taped to the front of the card.
For the Coffee with Friends card, I used the Coffee Archival Ink to stamp Coffee With Friends (SD7034) on a piece of yellow cardstock and trimmed it down. Again, I used the MISTI to ensure a crisp image. I attached a piece of yellow ribbon and some bling. Then I used foam tape to adhere the main focal point of the card.
This next card features the Typewriter Set (SS064). This set has this adorable typewriter and several sentiments to accompany it.
On a black card base, I attached a red panel and three Stickles dots. I stamped the Sparkles (S536) background with Versamark ink and heat embossed using silver embossing powder. I trimmed and attached that panel to the card base and added some random red Stickles to some of the stars.
Using the MISTI, I stamped the Typewriter with black ink and repeated the stamping until I had a crisp image. Using Versamark and red embossing powder, I stamped my selected image onto the paper area on the typewriter. I then fussy cut the image and attached it to the panel with foam tape.
Next up is a Christmas Tag Card featuring the Snow Swirls (S726) and Snowflakes Fall (SD760) stamps.
I think this background is quickly becoming one of my favorites! I can't seem to get enough of it! For this card, I did it more like a tag (there is no "inside"). I used some red glitter cardstock for the base. Using the Snow Swirls (S726) background stamp, I inked it with Versamark and stamped it on some clear acetate, then embossed it with white embossing powder. I punched two holes near the top of the acetate and base and tied the two pieces together with some pretty layered ribbons.
I again used Versamark ink to stamp the Snowflakes Fall (SD760) stamp on some red cardstock and used a die to cut out the shape. I then added some Wink of Stella to the diecut piece and attached that to the top of the acetate. I think this will be a beautiful addiction to a special Christmas gift.
