I made this game based on my strict dad who would always check me to see if I was asleep over and over again. Inspired from a game called Residence Massacre and Jim's Computer!

The cast is the characters we see in Weird Strict Dad in both Chapter 1 and Chapter 2.
Dad[]
Dad is your father and the antagonist of the game. He gets possessed by a mysterious man at 12 AM, checking on you to see if you are asleep by 10 PM which he mentions after you finish refilling the generator at 8/9 PM. If the night starts and reaches 6AM, dad will feel a bit better. Dad's real name is Jerry, as confirmed by Chapter 2's bad ending.
Player[]
The Player is the person you play as, being the protagonist of the game. The player can possess 3 different torso variants:
- Cyan
- Green
- Red
- Magenta
Players also have three bars that they need to keep track of:
- Hunger
- Thirst
- Energy
If those bars go down, you will lose health and slowly die. It is unknown what happens if the energy bar runs out. If the Player touches Dad, they will die.
Mom[]
Who's knocking on our door? Mom will take it.
Mom, about to check the door and get possessed by Xenobus.
Mom is a minor character in Weird Strict Dad, being a Roblox noob with a pink torso and a Chestnut Bun hair. They make an appearance in the Good ending of Chapter 2: the player asks mom to eat with them, though they decline. After that, the Mysterious Man performs another knock at the door and mom goes to answer it, getting possessed and leaving with the man afterwards.
Mysterious Man[]
The Mysterious Man (AKA Xenobus) is the main villain of the game. When there is a knock on the door, Xenobus is there, and Dad goes to check. When the CCTV is checked in Chapter 1 after listening to news, Xenobus starts possessing dad and that's when the night starts.. In Chapter 2, you don't need to check a camera, the night starts when dad checks the porch anyway.
Chapter 1[]
We first start with us, or the Player inside of Dad's car, as the description says both of them were having lots of fun that day. when both of them got home, the player is forced to do tasks such as cleaning the house and making food for Dad and the player(s), as the game progresses, someone is knocking outside which triggers Dad to ask who's knocking outside, he goes to check but before that he tells the player that they can use the TV but get to bed before 10PM, either way he'll be angry.
As the game keeps progressing, the news warn the player about Xenobus and when the news ends the player needs to check the front door who is locked so the player need to look at the cameras later, so the player looks at the cameras to check their Dad. He seems to be talking to a mysterious person (aka Xenobus) who'll later would disappear and trigger the Dad to enter in a hunt mode, running towards his kid's room to see if they're sleep or either way they're going to get killed by Dad.
The player, to survive, eats and drinks water in order to not die of starvation or dehydration, they also need to worry about the generator because that's the only way for them to breathe. the player must survive till 6 AM, and after that, a short cutscene of you and Dad can be seem of them talking and the kid asking what happened to him last night. Dad, casually, just says that he got possessed and gets back to eat.
Chapter 2[]
We start with a jumpscare of the possessed dad, here we can see that Dad and The Kid sitting in the table and Dad asks them if they can cook his noodles. when we finally eat our breakfast, someone knocks on the door again (the the same person) and dad checks outside, the player however warned Dad to not go outside because it was the same person who possessed him last time, Dad doesn't listen to the player's pleading and goes to check anyways. Dad enters in hunt mode and the player is forced to hide inside one of the locker in the basement.
So the player need to get clues to make a potion to fix Dad, the clues are all around the map and can be seen here, and its pretty much the same thing you have to worry about, starvation, dehydration and oxygen. if the player succeeds in fixing Dad, a cutscene of him having some type of stroke appears, he gets cured and he has a little chat with his child about how he's sorry for not listening to them. later they have breakfast again, but a new character appears, !
The player, excitedly, greets her and asks her to eat with the family. she says she needs to do something before sitting in the table and runs towards the living room. not so later after that, a knock can be heard again and Mom goes to take it. The Man possesses her now, taking the Renderman face just like possessed Dad did. but Xenobus seemed to have left something behind in accident, which Dad noticed.
Trivia[]
- The man is actually called Xenobus if you play in VR.
- Dad is actually called Jerry and the Grandpa is called Tom which may be a reference to the show Tom and Jerry.
- If you touch dad while he is sleeping on the couch, he will jumpscare you and enter hunt mode.
- The Radio in chapter 2 is actually ripped off Doors, another game by someone called LSPLASH.
- Dad's hunt mode face is actually ripped off a monster called Renderman.
- The creators of the game actually have a Discord Server, join that, the link put there doesn't expire.
