PARKOUR Reborn is an open world adventure experience created by A Mongoose Studio. Players explore an expansive city known as Verna by parkouring across buildings. While doing so, they can collect resources to craft gear, enhancing movement in many ways. Other features include races (time trials and challenges), NPCs, and missions.
The map is separated into 10 different districts, with three of them currently released (Downtown, Dirwik, and Fragment). Each district has its own unique characteristics, towers, and sites. The game is currently in its alpha stage, and requires 349 Robux to play; the game will become free during the beta stage.
Reborn is the successor to A Mongoose Studio's previous game, PARKOUR Legacy, both of which are lead by creative director hudzell.
Gameplay[]
When joining the game for the first time, players are prompted to choose between which type of runner they are: casual or traceur. Choosing one or the other determines a few of the default controls and keybinds. Runners spawn at the start of the Tutorial located directly in Downtown, and are guided on basic movements needed to play the game. The final step of the tutorial is to land on a building without taking any fall damage, and runners can explore the rest of the map thereafter.
On top of the same building players land on is the NPC Julian, who introduces a work opportunity for those meeting him for the first time. If under level 3, he will instead introduce some of the basic game mechanics, namely checkpoints and XP gaining. Runners can come back to him for their first mission once they meet the level requirement.
Runners traverse the map through movement, which is one of the core features of the game. Most movement options are presented as 'abilities,' unlocked by completing challenges—miniature courses designed to utilize a specific ability. Some other abilities are found by collecting books spread around map (the current ones are all in Downtown). Many movements are performed by utilizing abilities (e.g. long jumping is performed via the afterboost ability, and afterboost is used via the dash ability).
Rank & Level[]
Levels indicate how much a player has explored the map, and will increment every time they reach over 100% XP. XP can be gained by syncing to checkpoints, obtaining time trial medals for the first time, completing certain missions, and achieving combos (continuous movement without taking damage or dying).
Rank indicates a player's skill to some extent, and increase for every 10 rank stars obtained. Rank stars are obtained by time trial medals, specific challenges, certain missions, and entering districts.
Other Gameplay Features[]
- Gear: items that are held in a player's inventory and affect how they move around. They're categorized into core, augment, utility, and compound. Most gear are crafted with resources/components scattered around the city, or bought directly from NPCs.
- Currency: money comes in two forms: credits and tokens. Credits are earned primarily by collecting valuables and scrap around the city and selling them to vendors (some NPCs), or completing delivery missions. Tokens are a premium alternative bought with Robux, and can be used to buy premium upgrades.
- Races: short courses where runners must reach an end point in a certain amount of time. Time trials grant medals (bronze, silver, gold, platinum) depending how quickly they're finished. Challenges grant abilities, rank stars, and sometimes credits.
Districts[]
There are 10 districts planned for the game, three of which are already released:
- Downtown
- Dirwik
- Fragment
- Stack
- The Mirror
- Skyarc
- Citra
- Axiom
- Vertex
- Asylum
Trivia[]
From the PARKOUR Reborn Wiki page [1]

With its original release date scheduled for December 25th, 2022 (Christmas)—which then got delayed to the Summer of 2023, and further postponed to November 3rd, 2023. Transitioning into the pre-alpha stage, instead of the originally promised beta stage.

- The general idea of Reborn was first made up back in 2019.
- Reborn is the second mainstream experience in the PARKOUR franchise.
- Reborn will never have VR support. As stated by hudzell: it is nearly impossible to implement with how the game is designed, and a waste of development resources.
- Reborn's first ever sneak peek was posted sometime during February 2022. The exact date can no longer be traced, as the Discord server where it was shared, Legacy's, has been deleted due to it getting raided beyond repair.
- Currently, Reborn has been referenced once in another Roblox experience, that being Silly Brawl.
