Urgo was a minor fiend turned margoyle taken to the Domains of Dread.[1]

History[]

When Medwyn, a spoiled young prince of the kingdom of Avent who'd started to experiment with magic, tried to place Urgo's soul within a stone gargoyle, he made a fatal error. Urgo attacked Medwyn and crushed him to death. But Urgo remained trapped in the gargoyle body.[1]

In time, Urgo came into the domain of Sithicus. There, Lord Soth summoned him, among other monsters and villains——Ardrus, Sasha, Balthazar, Nym Pymplee, Balthazaar, Kaurik, Balok, and Stellerex—bound them to his service and ordered them to slay Count Strahd von Zarovich, on the promise of freeing them. But Strahd learned of this and summoned his own band of heroes to defend against them.[1]

Personality[]

Consumed with rage at being so trapped, Urgo sought to slay all beings of flesh and bone.[1]

Description[]

Urgo was a squat stone gargoyle, lacking wings but possessing horns and spikes on its shoulders, as well as a pointed tail.[1]

Abilities[]

Urgo could breathe fire and attack with flaming claws, as well as create a shield of stone and petrify his foes.[1]
