Rapunzel is the main protagonist of Disney's Tangled franchise. She is based on the famous fairy tale character of the same name. She is the 10th Disney Princess in the official line-up.
She is voiced by the singer, Mandy Moore, while Delaney Rose Stein voiced her as a child in the movie, then while Ivy George voiced her as a child in the TV series, then by Kelsey Lansdowne in Kingdom Hearts III and Disney Comics in Motion.
What Makes Her Pure Good?[]
In General[]
- She is a very kind and generous person and helps anyone in need.
- She sees the good in everyone and gives them a chance.
- She has saved Corona several times.
- While she has moments of being wrathful, getting angry, and lashing out toward others, these are just heating up periods and they don't take away from her kind and compassionate nature. Most of these are justified anyway and when they're not, she always apologizes.
Tangled[]
- Uses her crown to bargain with Flynn Rider so that she could get out of Mother Gothel's tower.
- Charms the thugs that were about to attack Flynn Rider into helping him much later in the film.
- When she and Flynn Rider were trapped in a cave, she uses her magic to heal him and eventually help him escape.
- Honors a truce with Maximus on her birthday, with him taking Rapunzel to the festival.
- Finally knowing she's the lost princess, she stands up to Mother Gothel for the abuse she gave her.
- She heals Eugene when he was stabbed in the back by Gothel.
- While she hit Eugene a few times with a frying pan, this was out of self-defense.
Tangled: Before Ever After[]
- She stopped Lady Caine from avenging her father, who the King of Corona believed was responsible for the kidnapping.
Tangled: The Series[]
- Though she did refuse to help Varian save his father, it was only because she had no other choice due to her kingdom being threatened by Zhan Tiri's snowstorm. Furthermore, she still felt guilty for it and she was going to help him eventually if it wasn't for the false rumors Nigel made.
- She defended the kingdom of Corona from various threats outside and in, while trying to find the origin of her powers.
- Despite being annoyed with Calliope at first, (which can be justified due to her arrogant and rude personality) she helps her stop the Kurloc and get the third piece of the scroll .
- She defeated and banished Sugracha, preventing her from summoning Zhan Tiri.
- She befriended and forgave Stalyan.
- She overcame Tromus' dream to save the world.
- She forgave Varian and helped free his father from being trapped in amber.
- She stopped Andrew and the Separatists of Saporia from blowing up Corona and killing its entire population.
- She forgave Cassandra and even hugged her when the latter felt remorse for helping Zhan Tiri, who manipulated her to get the Sun and Moonstones, and even teamed up with her to stop Zhan Tiri.
- She defeated Zhan Tiri with Cassandra and Eugene, saving the entire kingdom from destruction and fusing the Sun and Moonstones' powers.
