The Hunter is the secondary antagonist of the 2016 action thriller film, Jack Reacher: Never Go Back, the second installment of the Jack Reacher film series.
He is a highly skilled former military sniper and freelance assassin who works for General James Harkness.
He was portrayed by Patrick Heusinger.
What Makes Him Pure Evil?[]
- He is a sadistic assassin who murders people out of sheer cold-blooded enjoyment.
- He is hired by General Harkness to cover up his illegal activities and kill all witnesses.
- He murders two of Major Susan Turner's military men and frames her for the crime.
- He plans to assassinate Turner.
- When Jack Reacher and Turner's lawyer, Moorcroft, look into the crimes, The Hunter tortures and kills Moorcroft, framing Reacher for the crime.
- He attacks and tries to kill Reacher and Turner in a restaurant.
- He shoots and kills two police officers when they intervene with his attack on Reacher and Turner.
- He goes to the home of Samantha Dutton, Reacher's supposed daughther, and shoots and kills Beth and Herb, Sam's foster parents.
- Even after Harkness is arrested, he shows no care about it continues pursuing Reacher, Turner, and Samantha, holding onto his personal vendetta with Reacher.
- He kidnaps Samantha and plans to kill her so that he can hurt Reacher, saying how killing Reacher would not be enough.
- He holds Samantha in front of the ledge of a building, which he threatens to drop her off of.
- He tries to kill Reacher one last time during their final fight together.
