Queen Gedren of Berkubane is the main antagonist of the 1985 film Red Sonja. She is a power-hungry monarch who is responsible for killing the titular character's family in retaliation for Sonja rejecting her advances.
She was portrayed by Sandahl Bergman.
What Makes Her Pure Evil?[]
- Sexually assaulted Sonja and attempted rape her.
- In retaliation for Sonja rejecting her, she had her soldiers kill Red Sonja's family and burn down her home.
- She had her soldiers gang-rape Sonja.
- She steals the talisman that can create and destroy the worlds.
- She kills all the priestesses, who guard the talisman, including Sonja's sister. The ones that she didn't kill instantly, she had them thrown into a pit to die a slow and painful death.
- She conjures a storm that forces Sonja and her band to seek refuge in a cavern.
- She unleashes a metallic monster to attack them.
- She disregards the death of Sonja's family.
- She attempts to use the talisman to completely destroy the world, laughing when one of her minions panics over it.
