Morgaroth is the overarching antagonist of the YouTube series, Disaster Almighty.
He serves as one of the two main antagonists (alongside Tyrone Garrison) of Season One, a posthumous antagonist of Season Two and a posthumous overarching antagonist of Season Three.
He is a demonic entity who existed since the Big Bang and wanted to plunge every dimension into eternal darkness. After battling a group of deities, The Ancients, they defeated him and imprisoned him to ensure he doesn’t cause any harm, but wasn’t enough to stop him. The Ancients relied on a race of alien human hybrids, the Starvexians and gave the responsibility to protect life across every dimension. Morgaroth was desperate to break free from his prison and created a race and world of his own, the Nether Demons and the Nether Realm. He ordered his creations to deliver him life force in order to be free.
He was voiced by Benedict Cumberbatch, who also played Sauron and Smaug from The Hobbit trilogy and Dormammu from Doctor Strange.
What Makes Him Pure Evil?[]
- During the Big Bang, when the Ancients and other omnipotent beings were creating the Omniverse, all he wanted was to corrupt everything and everyone, recreating the Omniverse into his own dark image. This led to the Ancients battling him, defeating him and imprisoning him.
- He wanted to feast on life force in order to be free from his prison, so he was able to create his own race and his own world. He ordered his creations, the Nether Demons, Nether Beasts and the Druun to travel across the Omniverse and deliver him as much life force as possible.
- It is revealed that he created the Druun, entities that can turn people to stone, and sent them to Kumandra, thus causing the events of the Disney film, Raya and the Last Dragon, including Sisu’s dragon kind being temporarily turned to stone, the people of Kumandra dividing into five tribes due to being obsessed with getting the Dragon Gem for themselves and the temporal loss of people’s loved ones (Raya’s father, Namaari’s mother, Tong’s people and family, Boun’s family and Noi’s family.)
- He didn’t care how many times his creations were defeated by the Starvexians and other pure-hearted life forms and callously dismissed them as mere weaklings. He abuses his own creations like a toxic and abusive parental figure, treating them like nothing but pawns and slaves. He even coldly admitted it and said he’ll take immense satisfaction in eradicating them when he no longer needs them.
- His abuse towards his creations led to Terrazort staging a coup and tricking him into creating a powerful crystal called the Nether Crystal so that Terrazort could use it to commit evil acts his way. Thus making him responsible for the creation of the Garrison family legacy and all of Tyrone Garrison’s horrible actions.
- He manipulated a Starvexian named Alister into believing that his best friend Nolan Powell and his girlfriend Eudora were dragging him down. He successfully took advantage of Alister having trouble with his powers, turned him against his own people and corrupted him, turning him into the intergalactic warlord named Dark Mayhem. He corrupted other life-forms along the way and forced them to commit heinous acts along with Dark Mayhem, ravaging planets and slaughtering the innocent.
- He ordered Dark Mayhem and the corrupted Starvexian soldiers, the Chitauri, to infiltrate their home planet Starvexia and destroy it along with everyone in it so that he could feast on the life force, driving the race to mere extinction.
- He threatened Dark Mayhem that he will destroy him if his loyalty wavered, after Dark Mayhem and his men failed to kill Nolan and Eudora’s son Conor the first time, the one destined to fight evil and protect the dimensions.
- He ordered Dark Mayhem to prepare for the ritual to use Nolan’s corpse to set him free. He was delighted to finally be free from his prison once he was free, and he lied when he said that every dimension will bow before him and Dark Mayhem since Dark Mayhem was a mere pawn and he would eventually be destroyed.
- He set up a trap for Conor and Eudora so that he and his demons could destroy them.
- After Dark Mayhem realized that he was on the wrong path and turned back into Alister, Morgaroth tried to regain control over him until Alister resisted with the help of Conor. Alister fought by Conor and Eudora’s side in the Nether Realm until Morgaroth impaled him with one of his shadow beams and fed him to a bunch of Nether Demons.
- He lead an army of demons to lay waste to Earth and a lot of people could’ve been killed.
- He took pleasure in taunting Conor, saying that his will is not strong enough and he is nothing without his powers.
- He intended to kill Conor along with his mother Eudora, and arrogantly claimed that he can’t defeat him.
- He underestimated Conor one last time before Conor defeated him and ended his threat for good.
- Overall he is a self-centered, cold hearted monster who craves destruction. He has no redeeming qualities or comedic moments.
