Mewtwo, also later known as Mewthree, is the main antagonist of the German Pokémon fangame Pokémon: Nightmare Invasion. He was created as a result of the experiments by the Alakazam that lead to the disappearance of Azure City. It ended up going rouge though, and begin its plan to wipe out all who opposed him.
Personality[]
Mewtwo from its very creation showed extreme arrogance and a massive god complex. He constantly spouted about being unstoppable and believed that he was a god and continuously referred to himself as one. Mewtwo also completely lacked any empathy for anyone that he killed or died as the result of his actions, believing that he was the only one who mattered. This is also what leads Mewtwo to attempt his plan, believing that he was the one who would make a better world for himself to rule over as a god. While he claims he has good intentions, he in reality only care about fulfilling his massive god complex and doesn't care about anyone else.
Mewtwo on two occasions is also shown to be incredibly ungrateful. First killing the Alazkazams that gave him life simply because they refused to submit to him and then killing Gavin when he upgraded him.
After Mewtwo was upgraded into Mewthree he became even worse now believing he was truly invincible and god-like. Which would be his undoing as he gave Jack a chance to fight him believing he would still easily beat him regardless.
What Makes Him Pure Evil?[]
- this version of Mewtwo are far worse than his canon counterpart's (Video Game's & Anime/Manga version) and he never redeem himself for his crimes.
- When he goes rouge he flees to a Super Market where he would end up transforming the people left there into puppets who would eventually all be killed by Jack.
- Returned to the Gene Co building and killed the remaining four Alazkazams that created him simply because they wouldn't submit to him as well as mutated a few humans that were left over.
- When he is upgraded be being infused with all the knowledge and memories of the people of Azure City he kills Gavin and the three scientists who helped Gavin.
- Plans to destroy the entire world and recreate it in his image.
- While he does claim to be doing everything with good intentions, Jack himself explicitly calls out Mewtwo for the fact that he is nothing more than a monster. And in the end, Mewtwo only wants to rule the world as a god and have everyone worship him so, in the end, his intentions are completely moot.
- He was created by the Alakazam which could possibly be argued to mean agency issues, but there are several things that make this not disqualifying.
- We don't know the reason that Mewtwo was created meaning that we don't have any indication that he was created for the purpose of evil.
- Mewtwo went rouge on his creators and did everything on his own.
- It is shown that the Pokemon in this universe or at the very least the ones created/mutated have shown the capacity for good, as we see a few good Alakazam that come to regret the creation of Mewtwo and ultimately help the hero stop him.
- Lastly after being upgraded by Gavin he is given all the knowledge of the people of Azure City and is now basically the smartest person in the universe meaning if he didn't have Moral Agency before he does now.
- While he isn't the one responsible for the disappearance of Azure City he still easily meets the heinous standard due to having the highest attempted kill count with his final plan to destroy the world.
Trivia[]
- This is so far the only version of Mewtwo to be Pure Evil.
