~ Megatron X preparing to commit another genocide against the main universe. |
Megatron, also known as The Other One and Megatron X, is a major antagonist in Transformers: Cyberverse.
He is an alternate version of Megatron who lacks all of the any positive traits that were still present despite his villainy, having shot his former best friend, Optimus Prime, to death rather than honorably letting him go when he refused to join him, before stealing his Matrix of Leadership, winning the Great War and achieving his goal of creating the race of Perfect Decepticons that he has brainwashed upon their creation to be his mindless slaves.
Like his original counterpart, he was voiced by Marc Thompson, who also voiced Soundblaster in the same show and Malekith the Accursed in the Thor: The Dark World video game adaptation.
What Makes Him Pure Evil?[]
- The very purpose of his character is to prove the main Megatron may be a really evil person, but he isn't as bad as could have become because he has honor and other redeeming qualities. This Megatron, however, lacks any of the redeeming qualities and honor he had, shed his extremist qualities like his original version and became motivated for power.
- When Optimus Prime refused his offer to join him, he then coldly shoots his best friend to death, before stealing the Matrix of Leadership from his dying body while laughing.
- Proceeds to win the Great War by wiping out all of the Autobots, giving him total freedom to use the Allspark.
- He then reprograms the AllSpark, which is the vessel for all the sparks of all those who once lived and would've been born, to create Perfect Decepticons. Worse is that it is later revealed that the Perfect Decepticons aren't originally the mindless beasts that they were assumed to be and had semblances of having minds of their own, with Tarn being basic proof of it, just that Megatron X has been enslaving them since their creation after he programmed them to be mindless soldiers loyal to only him. They had some semblance of awareness in their brainwashing, with Tarn telling he gunned down his universe's Soundwave when under Megatron X's control and the first thing the Perfect Decepticons say upon the programming being erased was that they were freed from their programming.
- Seeing no need for the other Decepticons, despite the help they provided, he wiped out most of them, bringing his already high kill count higher, and wiping out most of the Cybertronian race in his universe as a result.
- Only Astrotrain and the Insecticons survived Megatron's genocide on his own species, and it is heavily implied he abused them for millions of years, considering upon his upcoming arrival, were quick to flee the universe than face him to escape any gruesome fate they will place them in.
- Used a laser snare to destroy the Quintesson ship when they invaded his universe, killing all of the Quintessons present. While this has the benefit of making the Quintessons weak to the point they were extinguished by the alliance of the Autobots and Decepticons when they tried to destroy the main universe (which they definitely deserved for the horrendous things they did), he only did it because they invaded his territory.
- Launches a missile strike against the main Megatron to reclaim his Matrix of Leadership, who was shocked at seeing the horrors his counterpart did to his universe, destroying one of his optics.
- Launches an attack to the main universe, before catching the main Megatron off guard while calling him "thief" and saying "you're not even worthy of being me", before blasting him on the chest and painfully stealing the Matrix of Leadership from his body, killing him in the process, with immense glee.
- Prior to explaining himself and killing Megatron, he attacks Alpha Strike when she blasts him with a laser in order to make him pay for blasting main Megatron by redirecting it at her while laughing, telling that he will not pay for anything. After that, he makes fun of Shadow Striker's condition by calling her one of Shockwave's failed experiments.
- Upon killing the main Megatron and retaking the Matrix of Leadership, he proceeds to try and redo his genocide against all Cybertronian life in the main universe with great relish.
- He mocked Bumblebee by calling him a hero before attempting to kill him.
- Tries to kill Optimus Prime when he saves Bumblebee, sadistically saying that it would be the second time he killed Optimus.
- Is very much responsible for why Tarn is the way he is and all the crimes he did can be blamed on him as well.
- He was so awful, that the main Megatron, seeing what he did not only disgusted and horrified him, but was also heavily implied to be what caused the main Megatron to mellow out and come back to his universe and save it from Starscream and not kill Optimus Prime after that, and eventually, leading to his redemption by the end of the Season 3.
- He did all of this while only having about 3 minutes of screen time, making a tremendous impact by proving himself to be one of the most dangerous, most personally cruel and overall vilest villains in the entire show.
