Poké Ride (Japanese: ポケモンライド, Hepburn: Pokemon Raido) is a game mechanic introduced in Pokémon Sun and Pokémon Moon. The player needs a Ride Pager in order to use it.
Poké Ride is a feature that lets players ride Pokémon in certain places that they cannot do from normal travel otherwise. This feature replaces HMs, as well as some key items from previous generations, like the Bicycle and Dowsing Machine. Examples of what a Poké Ride can allow for is soaring on Charizard, finding hidden treasures with Stoutland, and fishing with a gentle Lapras and much more. Most of these Pokémon can be ridden by pressing Y then B.
