As Wurmple[]

Wurmple helped Aaron get out of a tree when he got stuck in it. She became his first Pokémon, and Aaron trained her for a while. The two eventually became very close, but Aaron was not a good Trainer, losing battles quite often. One day, he blamed his loss on Wurmple, and left her behind. He felt bad the next day, and returned to find Wurmple, but could not find her.^[1]

As Beautifly[]

Wurmple eventually evolved into a Beautifly, and returned to Aaron to help him, Ash, Dawn, and Brock drive off Jessie and James. She used Whirlwind to dust away Seviper's Haze. She then used Solar Beam, along with Piplup's Bubble Beam and Pikachu's Thunderbolt to blast Team Rocket away. Aaron then asked Beautifly if she would rejoin his team, to which Beautifly agreed with, which made everyone glad.^[1]

Beautifly was later seen in Aaaron's battle with Cynthia. Gastrodon bloked Beautifly's Solar Beam by using Stone Edge as a shield and then launched the attack at Beautifly, knocking her unconscious.^[2]

Aaron also appeared in the ending scene of the 13th Pokémon movie, along with his Beautifly.^[3]
