Scrapped worlds[]

Circus City[]

Not to be confused with Circus City, a scrapped world from the Chinese version Plants vs. Zombies 2 based off of Roman circuses.

Circus City (马戏城; pinyin: Mǎxì Chéng) was an unused world based off of modern circuses. Not much about it is known besides its lawn.

Arabian world[]

Set of Arabian-themed zombies appear in early UI and in promotional material. It is presumed they were supposed to appear in their own Arabian world.

Roman Empire[]

Roman Empire (罗马帝国; pinyin: Luómǎ Dìguó) was a scrapped world based off of the Roman empire. Not much is known about it besides an unknown zombie, seemingly of a Roman gladiator.

Removed plants[]

These plants were once playable in Plants vs. Zombies: All Stars, but were removed in later versions.

Pea Pod was part of its own evolution line which was simply itself gaining more heads for each tier. The evolutions line went as follows:

Unused plants[]

These plants are unused in the code. They don't have corresponding evolution lines, and it is presumed they were scrapped in development before evolution lines existed.

Information about Ice-shroom line was found in the game code, as well as files for Ice-shroom. Evolutions went as follows:

Snow-shroom (白雪菇; pinyin: báixuě gū) → Frost-shroom (冰霜菇; pinyin: bīngshuāng gū) → Ice-shroom (冰川菇; pinyin: bīngchuān gū)

Fisherman Zombie from Endless Edition was supposed to appear in this game. Nothing else is known about it.

Viking Catapult Zombie is an unused zombie meant to be used in Viking World. It is unknown what he would have done with all that is left of him are a boss statue and a sprite sheet.

Viking Axe Zombie[]

Viking Axe Zombie is an unused zombie meant to be used in Viking World. It is unknown what he would have done with all that is left of him are a boss statue and a sprite sheet.

Viking Shield Zombie[]

Viking Shield Zombie is an unused zombie meant to be used in Viking World. It is unknown what he would have done with all that is left of him is a sprite sheet.

Viking Meteor Hammer[]

Viking Meteor Hammer is an unused zombie meant to be used in Viking World. It was only seen on map on a boss pedestal. Nothing else is known about it.

Early UI[]

(Unsourced) A lot of the early UI uses the first game's art style as a placeholder. It is unknown why.
