Gloop

Gloop (also known as Planet Gloop) is a location in the PJ Masks television series. It is the world where Gloop the Third and his Gloopets come from. It was first seen in the Season 6 episode "Heroes of Space."

The exact nature of Gloop is currently classified as a planet somewhere beyond the solar system in outer space, since other planets can be seen in the sky from Gloop's surface. According to Robot, it is 3,000 lightyears away from Earth.[1]

Radio contact between Earth and this world is still possible with the PJ Communicators.

Gloop the Third and the Gloopets can travel between here and Earth through a black hole.

Gloop appears to be mostly a barren wasteland filled with giant mushrooms and other exotic plants. Many puddles of gloop can be found on the surface since Gloop and his Gloopets use it for their various plots. There are even volcanoes surrounding the area.

There is also a docking and refueling station for Gloop the Third’s Gloopster, a telescope and a defense system, too.

Lots of space junk like satellites can be seen near the black hole.

It is unknown if Gloop the Third and the Gloopets are the only inhabitants of Gloop.

The gloop that runs through its rivers is vital for maintaining Gloop's ecosystem and structure; if the gloop is drained from the rivers, the planet will begin to collapse due to instability, leading to its eventual destruction. However, returning the gloop to the rivers will restore the planet's structure and body.

Trivia

  • This is the fourth location to lead outside the city.
  • Gloop shares similarities with Zoomzania in that it is classified as a planet in space and has gravity and an atmosphere with oxygen similar to Earth, hence why An Yu, Ice Cub and Bastet are able to breathe and walk around there without spacesuits.
  • It is unknown how the black hole wasn't seen in space in the other episodes.
    • Out-of-universe, it is because Gloop and Gloop the Third and the Gloopets were not created yet, which took place before the events of Heroes Everywhere since the black hole was first seen on-screen in that episode.
  • The French name for Gloop is Galaxea.
  • The Gloop splat looks different on Gloop. It is probably because Gloop the Third said he would make a new kind in his debut episode, as Newton Star was able to use his star power to break it.
  • The black hole has blue light rays on the borders when viewed from space, but on Gloop, they are yellow.
