Season 3

Season 3 aired in 1995 and 1996. Although Pingu is a children's television series in England, many of the episodes have been censored before they reached UK television. Some episodes were even banned completely from being shown. For a full list, see Pingu Censorship. However, most of the episodes managed to be on the air in the USA when Cartoon Network made this possible somewhere in the Late 1990's. BBC Two only aired the 1st half of season 3 (episodes 1-13) and the 2nd half (episodes 14-26) was released directly to VHS.

	A bird keeps stealing the fishes Pingu had. Pingu tries to stop the bird from stealing his fishes, then realises that the bird is taking his fishes because the bird wanted to feed her chicks.

	Pingu finds a bottle containing a mysterious map, but it leads to a common shell. Pingu is disappointed and takes the shell home, then makes a discovery.

	When their mother sleeps, Pingu and Pinga take the record player outside, but without electricity it does not work. Seeing Father's car battery, Pingu gets an idea.

	While playing, Pingu and Pinga accidentally break their mother's vase. Pinga then tattles to Father.
	Pingu and the Paper Plane	September 7, 1995	#13
	A classmate throws a paper airplane at a teacher and Pingu gets blamed for it. Pingu seeks revenge on the classmate.
	Pingu Takes Revenge	June 13, 1996	#14
	When Pingg teases Pingu, he seeks revenge by sawing the bridge to Pingg's house, but then Grandfather tries to cross the bridge.

	Pingu pretends to be a ghost to frighten Pinga, so Mother sends him to his room, where a scary storm rages outside.

	Pingu and Pinga adorn themselves with flowers after seeing a South Sea postcard. Mother realizes where they got their flowers.
	Pingu's Discovery	August 22, 1996	#24
	Pingu and Robby found an ancient artifact, so they brought it over to the museum along with Pingu's grandfather.
	Pingu and the Baker	August 29, 1996	#25
	Pingu steals a cake from the baker and hides it from Mother. She discovers it and forces him to return to the baker.
	Pingu and the Lost Ball	September 5, 1996	#26
	Pingu is playing alone with wooden blocks when Pinga comes along and his tower collapses. In revenge he puts her ball just out of reach.

Trivia[]

• The majority of this season was shown on US/American television through Cartoon Network and PBS Kids Sprout, but only "Pingu's Long Journey" has ever been available on a Home Video release, Antarctic Antics. The aforementioned episode was also released for digital in 2013.
• This is the first season for several things:
  • This is the first season to use the new intro. However, the first five episodes had the original opening titles. Later prints plastered it with the later intro, though it is intact on Japanese VHS releases.
  • This is the first season to use the "EMU Proteus 2 orchestral" to compose the music.
  • This is the first season to have music entirely composed by Andy Benedict.
  • This is the first season we see Pingu smiling in the intro.
• Episodes for Season 1, Season 2 and this season had the HiT Entertainment logo added at the end of every episode on DVD releases.
