Crat Corner
by RRabbit42
We interrupt your regularly scheduled broadcast
This is RRabbit42, filling in for Topher in the Crat Corner department. He and I have noticed that a lot of the edits being made recently have been small ones. Fixing typos, adding small details, that sort of thing. The times when someone makes a substantial edit to a page are few and far between. Going hand-in-hand with that is a lack of pages being nominated to become our Featured Articles. The small edits help and many pages are nearing completion. But it's also a symptom of why some of the past Featured Article nominations had to be turned down. They just weren't complete and polished enough to become a candidate.
We've made suggestions in the past on how you can make improvements. Several people have started up various projects, and I see we even have one for getting articles up to FA status. But what I think has been missing is a more specific method of filling in the missing pieces, some better directions.
So, in the next couple of weeks, we are going to come up with a list of things that people can work on. One example would be to organize an episode's gallery so that it helps tell the story of what happened in the episode, rather than just being a dumping ground of pictures from the episode. Another is when we see a new episode, there's certain things that need to be updated, like the Big Idea list, the Schemes and Inventions list, the OWCA's technology list, the two premiere appearances lists, etc. It would be a checklist of what to work on and how we want it arranged, rather than general suggestions of what could be improved.
We also have a different kind of project that we will reveal, but it's just in the beginning stages and not ready yet, so stay tuned for more details.
Other news
We reached another milestone recently. Our 1,200th page is Glenda Wilkins. These milestones are sometimes difficult to pin down because new pages are frequently added but many of them have to be deleted because they are fan fiction or fake articles. In this case, this page and another page just called "Glenda" work being worked on at the same time, so they got merged together and designated as article #1200.
Ryan Stoppable has a new blog for the ratings on "Run, Candace, Run" and "Last Train to Bustville".
If you have the Ride Again game for the Nintendo DS, Knarrow02 recently reported that cheat codes for it have finally been released. Phineas and Ferb may not roll that way, but some of us still need them.
We also have some outstanding issues that we need to get resolved:
Odds 'n' Ends
- The Phineas and Ferb magazine is out. I didn't see it at the local bookstore this week, but others have received theirs. You can subscribe on the Disney Mags website (with the help of your parent, of course).
- Don't forget to follow us on Twitter and Like us on Facebook to stay up-to-date on everything going on in the wiki.

Japan earthquake relief
The earthquake and tsunami that struck Japan on March 11th will take a long time to recover from. Dozens of aftershocks have been felt over the following days. You can get more information on sites like CNN and USA Today, but if you're looking for ways to help out, Mobo85's cartoon above shows one way.
Another is being offered by Bowling For Soup. They are selling a "Sumo Guys to the Rescue" shirt where 100% of the proceeds will go to the relief effort. The shirts are available in their US and UK stores. You can see the shirt and the links to the stores here.
Whatever way you choose to help, make sure you get your parents' permission first.

Making play gets Candace busted
by RRabbit42
Just a week shy of two years after "The Lake Nose Monster" premiered on Disney XD, Season 2 wraps up on Disney Channel with "Make Play" and "Candace Gets Busted". These two were missing from iTunes, but were added to Volume 5 a few days ago.
"Make Play" was a title that sounded like a fake episode when we first heard about it, but as the episode played, we learn it's because of Princess Baldegundt's speech patterns. For the moment, that's how I'm going to spell her name because it sounds more like Baldegund than Baldegoon, and in some European countries, I think it would be spelled Baldegundt. We'll have to check the closed captioning to see if it can give us any help on that matter.
Setting the name aside for the moment, the episode treats us to more of what we love: another instance of breaking the fourth wall, a nice reference to a classic story (The Prince and the Pauper) and more insight into Dr. Doofenshmirtz's tragic childhood. It also had a clever play on words, in which Phineas takes "all your favorite bands" inside the jukebox literally. That's a subtle and smart choice and I'm glad it was put in.
It's fitting that "Candace Gets Busted" would be the last episode of the season since "Phineas and Ferb Get Busted!" was the Season 1 finale. Candace gets permission to invite a few friends over while her parents head out of town. In the tradition of all great sitcoms, the situation gradually gets more and more out of control. Candace does her best to keep things orderly, but despite her repeated insistance that it's not a party, she's drawn in. It was fun to watch her struggle against joining the party. I have to also admit that "don't make the music in the house go boom" may be my new favorite phrase.
This episode also builds on the relationship between Doofenshmirtz and Major Monogram. We first heard them working together at the 2009 Radio Disney premiere and later at the Cliptastic Countdown. So what happens when Heinz gets to hear Agent P's mission briefing? Why, childish bickering, of course.
Doof's overly-complicated scheme backfires, Candace thinks she's saved when the party disappears, and Linda, Ferb and Vanessa all get great lines. Another great episode.
Just like last time, I'm not going to give either of these a grade. Both are strong and well-written. I think that says more than a letter grade would.

Hands-on with the new merchandise, part twenty-one
by RRabbit42
My review this time is for just one item, but I have news about two others. The "Agent P Disguise" is a small toy that lets you give Agent P two disguises: his cirque costume from "Jerk De Soleil" and the lawn gnome from "Lawn Gnome Beach Party of Terror". The pieces slip on and the entire kit stores in a rotating trash can, which was Perry's entrance to his lair in "Candace Loses Her Head". This makes it the first toy to reference three episodes in a single toy.
I picked one up last month at Toys R Us, and because it's small and compact, it makes it handy to set next to my monitor to where I can have a different Perry as often as I want. It looks like some of the items will mix and match, so I think tomorrow he'll have the lawn gnome beard and the sunglasses.
Now onto the news. Hasbro has just re-released the Disney Channel edition of Monopoly Junior. There's a new selection of shows represented and now Phineas and Ferb has two spots on the board. They have also added Ferb as a game piece you can choose. It's good to see continuing recognition of how good the show is in mainstream products like this. Which brings up the question: When are we going to get a P&F version of the full Monopoly game?
Second, when I was in Toys R Us earlier this week, I saw their exclusive Collector Pack. This is the one that has the figures that are used in the Skateboard Launcher and Backfiring Uglyinator action sets. The new version of the pack includes Phineas, Ferb, Jeremy and Candace. We've already seen Candace in the Rockin' Stage and the Tootin' Space Suit sets, but Jeremy is new. This means there will be four more action sets not too long from now and Jeremy will be in at least one of them.
This is a good sign that the toy line is starting to branch out to feature other characters, so eventually we should see toys that feature Isabella, Buford, Baljeet, Major Monogram, and Stacy. Stay tuned and be sure to check out the Merchandise Portal every so often to see what has been added.
That wraps up the review for this issue. I do have a couple of items that can go into our next issue, but as always, if anyone else buys something that they want to share their thoughts on, send it on in. We'd love to see what you got.
