Trivia[]

  • When Pee-wee obtains the secret word from Conky, he says, "You all know what to do whenever anyone says the secret word, right?" instead of "You all remember what to do whenever anyone says the secret word, right?", since the secret word was remember.
  • Cowboy Curtis visits in this episode.
  • Penny is shown in this episode. Her cartoon (about having a pet bear) is shown right after a commercial break and with no introduction.
  • Lynne Marie Stewart (Miss Yvonne) is credited, but only appears in a flashback from The Cowboy and the Cowntess.
  • The secret word is said and screamed at 7 times.
  • In a flashback Cowntess says "Just remember the most important thing is be yourself" and no one screams, due to it being a flashback from a previous episode.
  • Curtis' boots flashing when Herman attempts to grab them is a reference to the 1939 Judy Garland film, The Wizard of Oz'.
    • Jambi's magic, like Glinda's with the ruby slippers, is protecting Curtis' boots.
  • The ant farm flashbacks were taken from the episodes "Rainy Day", "Store" and "Pajama Party" (with different music).
  • Cowboy Curtis's flashbacks include: Curtis's lasso tricks and the "More" Song - from "Store" (with additional music). The hide-and-seek game, Curtis getting new boots, and dating lessons with Cowntess - from "The Cowboy and the Cowntess" (with additional lines).
    • The clip from "Store" showing Curtis singing the "More" song was in black and white for some reason when shown initially on CBS. Also, the last part of the word "more" being screamed did not flash the word onscreen. The 1996 video and Fox Family airings of this episode showed the scene in color and the word "more" flashed, but the 2004 DVD and Adult Swim airings showed the scene as originally seen on CBS.
  • This is the third episode where Pee-Wee says "Wish, did somebody say wish?". The First two were To Tell The Tooth, and Chairry-Tee Drive.
  • Originally, This was the final episode to feature the Season 2 opening theme. But during the 1990 rerun, It used the Season 5 opening instead.

Notes[]

  • Secret word: remember
  • Connect-the-dots: none
  • Snack: none
  • Wish: Cowboy Curtis wishes he knew where Pee-wee was hiding, which was in Jambi's box.

Quotes[]

  • Pee-wee: Boy, being a cowboy sure seems cool. What's it like?
  • Cowboy Curtis: Well, it's like...it's like, well...it's kinda like...actually, it's more like...more like, uh...
  • Pee-wee: OK! OK! All right! I'm sorry I asked!
  • Cowboy Curtis: I'm sorry, Pee-wee, but it's kinda hard to say, you know? I mean, you never really know what it's like to be another man until you walk a mile in his shoes.
  • Pee-wee: Well, take 'em off. Give me those shoes. (Pee-wee tries taking Cowboy Curtis's boots off.)
